1.003 MW Ground Mount Solar Project in Abu Dhabi
A fixed-tilt PV reference showing how one Abu Dhabi project coordinated array layout, structural geometry and a concrete-foundation support concept.
Design Inputs Used for This Reference
The values below describe this project only. They are presented as project inputs rather than universal ratings for a mounting system.
| Project capacity | 1,003.2 kW DC |
|---|---|
| PV modules | 1,824 modules rated at 550 W each |
| Table arrangement | 57 structural tables, 32 modules per table |
| Layout alternatives | 4 × 8 landscape or 2 × 16 portrait |
| Fixed tilt | 10° |
| Project wind input | 160 km/h |
| Module dimensions | 2279 × 1134 × 35 mm |
| Ground clearance | 300 mm |
| Primary aluminum members | AL6005-T5 |
| Foundation concept | Concrete foundations with embedded anchors |
Repeated Table Geometry Across the Array
Using one 32-module structural unit across the site provides a consistent basis for layout coordination, installation sequencing and component planning.
Project view showing the repeated table pattern and overall array scale.
Landscape and Portrait Table Options
The project package evaluates two ways to arrange the same 32-module table count: a 4 × 8 landscape layout and a 2 × 16 portrait layout.
Landscape table
The landscape option places four module rows across eight columns while keeping the project tilt and foundation concept unchanged.
Portrait table
The portrait option uses two module rows across sixteen columns, changing the table geometry and rail arrangement while retaining the same module count.
Load Path to the Concrete Foundation
The project information shows a conventional fixed-tilt load path from the PV module through the mounting members and into the concrete support.
Wind value is project-specific
The 160 km/h figure is an input for this reference, not a general rating that should be copied to another site.
Foundation sizing remains site-dependent
The concrete concept defines the support family; final foundation geometry should follow structural reactions and site conditions.
Orientation changes the structure
Landscape and portrait layouts can keep the same module count while changing rail positions, member spans and connection geometry.
