17.02 kW Standing Seam Solar Roof Design Concept for Wonju, South Korea
A Korea-oriented engineering reference adapted from a 46-module standing-seam roof layout. The concept retains the 17.02 kW module geometry and rail-based clamp architecture, while requiring Korean site-specific verification for wind, snow, roof profile and structural design.
An Inland Mountain-Fringe City for the Regional Adaptation
Wonju was selected as a practical Korean analogue because it combines an inland setting, surrounding mountain ridges, river corridors, rolling terrain and developed urban/industrial areas. That makes it a reasonable location for adapting the geometry of the original Yamanashi mountain-fringe roof reference without implying that the original project was built in Korea.
What Can Be Carried Over from the Original Layout
The roof drawing defines a 46-module array using 1750 × 1038 × 35 mm modules. With 370 W modules, the same electrical geometry corresponds to 17.02 kW.

Standing-Seam Clamp, L Bracket, Rail and Module Clamp
This project uses anodized AL6005-T5 rails and aluminum/stainless-steel accessories, including standing-seam roof clamps, Pre-assembled L feet, rail splices and module clamps.
Roof seam clamp
This mounting system uses a dedicated clamp concept for a 333 mm standing-seam roof profile. For Korea, the clamp must be matched to the actual seam shape and verified for pull-off/slip performance on the selected roof panel.
Rail and L-bracket interface
The rail system provides continuous module support, while the L-bracket and clamp assembly transfer the rail reactions into the roof seam connection.

About the Wonju Korea Design Reference
Why use Wonju for the adaptation?
Wonju provides a practical inland, mountain-fringe Korean context with surrounding ridges and river/alluvial areas, making it a reasonable conceptual analogue for the source region without claiming the two locations are identical.
Can the original 24 m/s wind value be kept?
No. The Korean site requires its own wind design inputs under the applicable Korean structural standard and actual building geometry.
Can the 0.50 kN/m² snow condition be kept?
No. Snow design should use the exact Korean site and current applicable code basis.
Can the 17.02 kW array stay the same?
Yes as a layout concept if the Korean project uses 46 modules at 370 W with compatible dimensions and the new roof geometry can accommodate the array.
