Solar Cable Clips for PV Wire Management
Easy Solar supplies module-edge and rail-mounted cable clips for organizing PV conductors below solar modules. Standard and custom options are selected by cable outside diameter, cable count, mounting interface and routing direction.
Choose a Clip by Cable Count and Mounting Interface
The correct clip is determined by how many cables must be retained, their actual outside diameter and the frame or rail geometry at the attachment point.
Module-Edge Clips
Spring-style clips for compatible framed-module flanges. Fit must match flange thickness, edge shape, insertion depth and installation direction.
Single- and Double-Cable Clips
Compact options for one or two compatible conductors. Confirm cable outside diameter rather than relying on conductor cross-section alone.
Multi-Cable Clips
Multi-position clips for routes carrying several compatible cables. Cable quantity, channel spacing and installation clearance must be checked together.
Rail-Mounted and Custom Clips
Clip or bracket designs for compatible rails, channels and project-specific interfaces, including drawing-based OEM configurations.
What to Confirm Before Ordering
A cable clip should be matched to the actual cable and the attachment interface. A generic “4 mm²” or “6 mm²” cable label does not by itself confirm the outside diameter or clip fit.
- Cable: outside diameter, cable count and jacket/profile information.
- Module frame: flange thickness, edge geometry and available insertion depth.
- Rail or profile: cross-section, channel or edge dimensions at the attachment point.
- Routing: cable direction, required clearance and installer access.
- Project: environment, material requirement, quantity and packaging.
Solar Cable Clip Configuration Guide
Use this as an RFQ guide. Final dimensions, material grade, cable capacity and interface must follow the selected model or approved drawing.
| Configuration | Mounting interface | Cable capacity | Selection basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Module-edge clip | Compatible framed-module flange | Model-specific | Flange thickness, edge shape, insertion depth, cable OD and orientation |
| Directional / 90° clip | Compatible module frame or profile | Model-specific | Required cable direction, clearance and retention geometry |
| Rail-mounted clip | Compatible rail, channel or support profile | Model-specific | Rail cross-section, attachment point, cable OD and route |
| Custom formed clip | Drawing- or sample-defined interface | Project-defined | Approved drawing, material, thickness, spring geometry, finish and packaging |
Stainless Steel Cable Clip Options
Stainless steel is commonly used for compact PV cable-management clips because it can provide spring retention and outdoor corrosion resistance. Exact grade, thickness, temper and finish should be confirmed for the selected model or approved drawing.
For coastal, industrial or other demanding environments, state the exposure conditions in the RFQ so the material and finish can be reviewed rather than assumed.
- Confirm material grade for the selected clip model.
- Confirm formed edges and cable-contact geometry.
- Confirm frame or rail compatibility before project release.
Drawing-Based Solar Cable Clip Supply
Custom projects can be reviewed from drawings or samples when a standard clip does not match the required cable count, frame edge, rail profile or routing direction.
Drawing & Sample Review
Define the cable channels, mounting interface, spring geometry, material and critical dimensions before tooling or production.
Fit & Dimension Check
Confirm wire-channel dimensions, edge fit, formed shape and other agreed inspection points against the approved specification.
Project Packaging
Discuss counted bags, model sorting, labels, cartons and project-kit packing when these are part of the purchase requirement.
Request a Solar Cable Clip Quote
Send the interface and cable data with your quantity so the clip can be matched to the project instead of quoted from a generic product name.

Solar Cable Clip FAQ
Practical questions for product selection and RFQ preparation.
Are solar cable clips compatible with every PV module frame?
No. Edge-clip fit depends on the module-frame flange thickness, edge geometry, insertion depth and clip orientation. Confirm these dimensions before ordering.
Is 4 mm² or 6 mm² cable size enough to select a clip?
No. Conductor cross-section does not uniquely define the cable outside diameter. Provide the actual cable OD and, where possible, the cable datasheet.
Can one clip hold more than one PV cable?
Yes, depending on the clip model. Single-, double- and multi-cable configurations can be reviewed against cable OD, count and available installation space.
Can cable clips attach to mounting rails?
Rail-mounted options are possible when the clip or bracket is compatible with the rail profile or channel. Provide a rail cross-section or drawing for matching.
Are stainless steel options available?
Yes. Confirm the exact stainless grade, thickness, temper and finish for the selected model or approved custom drawing.
Can Easy Solar make a custom cable clip?
Custom clip projects can be discussed from a drawing or sample, including wire channels, frame or rail interface, spring geometry, material, labels and packaging.
